We’ve all been searching for the “next big thing” in the Twin Cities for our demographic — young, educated, colored (for lack of a better term) for quite some time now. We’ve had a handful hopefuls, some hits, more misses.but nothing has ever really STUCK. Dig it?
Well, my beautiful people, things may be looking up. Things may be looking up. in. deed.
The fine people at Flyxilla.com
have a slew events lined up throughout the remainder of the year that may truly change the game as for as night life goes here in the Twin Cities, especially for St. Paul — who’s night life currently consists of finding a cab to go to Minneapolis. I’m sure we can all agree that St. Paul is about as dry as Ashy Larry.
But I digress.
The first of said events is Oct, 27 for Hallow’s ween. And no, this isn’t your typical — cop a mask or cop a generic ass naughty nurse costume from Spencers type of Halloween party. This is a grown and sexy, conk your hair, cop a skinny tie and some wingtips type of party.
Add my man Dj Advance on the wheels of steel to the equation and that, my friends, is what you call a good time.

But if you’re too lazy to do all that, this is all you need to know:

Let’s take it back to the 1950s an era of classic style and dress. Ladies come out in your Pin Up Girl, burlesque, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Liz Taylor…the list goes on. Fellas show up in classic Rat Pack style, Dean Martin, Sammie Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra…need I say more. Let’s pay homage to an unforgettable decade of fashion.
I hope to see you there. I think I’m going to dress like a 5 Heartbeat, but I haven’t decided yet. Either way. I’m in that thang.
Also, be on the look out for other Flyxilla.com events because we’ll be posting them here at COS as we hear about them.
